Economic Division

Directly under the jurisdiction of the Beijing WTO Affairs Center, this division provides research and consultancy services on economic issues.

Mission Statements :

•  To offer advice for the sustainable development of national economy and society based on the realistic economic condition of Beijing and China.

•  To provide the government, research institutes and enterprises with the research reports and economic early-warning concerning the WTO affairs.

•  To provide government leaders at all levels with the relevant theory for making the scientific decisions.

•  To undertake the investigation and research on the WTO issues.

•  To offer consultation service for the national and international enterprises in the respects of management, operation and market development.

Working content:

Focusing on the research of practical strategies and keeping abreast with the overall, strategic and long-term issues of national economy, to promptly track the tendency, analyze the contradiction, work out the strategies and forecast the prospect of the industries.

Expertise and Research scope:

Six full-time researchers with a master's or a doctorial degree of economics conduct research in World economy, International trade, international economic cooperation, Finance and currency, Commodity market, Foreign investment, Multilateral aids, International and regional economic and trade organizations, Foreign economic and trade strategy of China, the development of foreign trade and foreign funds in Beijing and the development of national trade, Planning on market operation, and Currency system reform.
